Don’t be too quick to label yourself. We tend to define ourselves and present that definition to the world but so many times it boxes us up and makes us rigid. We are more than what we label ourselves. You cutting yourself doesn’t make you a cutter and nothing else. You starving yourself doesn’t make you anorexic and nothing else. You drinking your problems doesn’t make you a drinker and nothing else. You are still kind, you are still good, you are still someone who is capable of growth. Just because you go through a difficult time doesn’t mean that this period defines who you are. The moment we categorise people into these boxes we take away their fighting chance. We are all still growing and learning about ourselves and our place in this world and we could all do with a little space.
