the pain from this
trumps all others
because when physical pain
takes over
the mind is on autopilot
it works so hard
to cope with the physical
it has no energy
to tap into the pool
of unwanted memories
of regrets
of nightmares
and the heart
is so focused on God
and His power
and His mercy
and His promises
that it slowly pushes away
those that
do not
deserve
a
spot
in
my
heart
take me as an example
to get your shit together
before the universe
or whatever power you believe in
forces you to.
